- La Melissa è una pianta erbacea perenne e si sviluppa in fitti cespugli. La pianta è ricoperta da una lieve peluria e le sue foglie di colore verde smeraldo sono leggermente dentellate ai bordi. La Melissa è interessante per il suo aroma di limone, è una pianta molto rustica e quindi facilmente coltivabile. Se ne utilizzano le foglie e le infiorescenze, fresche oppure essiccate.
